A clay pipe and coins - Aphrodisias Turkey

Some 800 coins and a pipe of baked clay were found in the Temple of Aphrodite and the entrance to the Sebasteion during the excavations.

These coins which have been dated to the 15th and 16th centuries show us the existence of commercial life in the ancient Aphrodisias during the Ottoman Period.
